- Hired by the City of Cle Elum, Barker Landscape Architects devised schematic streetscape design for Cle Elum’s historic commercial core. Currently a wide auto-oriented highway, 903 serves as the main street for Cle Elum’s historic commercial district. Schematic plans for the district propose the addition of gateway elements, extension of a multi-use trail, new diagonal parking, planting strip bulb-outs, safe crossings, widened sidewalks, snow and flood storage areas, new street furniture and street trees.
