- » MONTLAKE PARK SHORELINE TRAIL & WETLAND ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, SEATTLE, WA
- The vision for the Montlake Waterfront is to create a continuous walking path along a richer, healthier natural freshwater shoreline that all residents can enjoy, and that can become a laboratory for students to learn about wildlife enhancement in urban areas. Design elements include a improved kayak launch with seating boulders, cedar logs and spawning gravel. A new gravel path and woodchip path will greatly enhance the pedestrian experience along the water, and disturbance to the shoreline will be kept to a minimum. This project also provides opportunities to enhance native plantings, habitat structures, environmental education and non native plant removal. We are currently developing construction documents.
