These projects highlight some of our rain gardens we have constructed that utilize Seattle's Rain Wise Program in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Rain gardens integrate a natural drainage system into a residential setting. Seattle’s Rain-Wise Program offers rebates to homeowners interested in installing natural drainage features on their properties. The project entailed renovation of the existing lawn and overgrown shrubs, paths, construction of rain gardens, rock-lined trenches, a sand set pavers, new rain gutters and drainage pipe, boulders, and additional planting enhancements.
