- » YAKIMA CANYON INTERPRETIVE CENTER, ELLENSBURG, WA
- Located five miles south of Ellensburg, Helen McCabe Memorial State Park acts as the gateway to the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway. In 2010 KEEN (Kittitas Environmental Education Network) and Forterra brought together 30 partners including Washington State Parks to form the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway initiative, and went on to fund the design of an interpretive center for the park. Barker Landscape Architects provided master planning design and permitting services for the landscape of the proposed interpretive center.
